Beijing Traffic Lesson: Left Turn

Posted by Roger under: Humorous .

If you are an ACF China customer then you most likely have been to China at least once, and if you have been to China at least once, then at least once you have been stuck in Beijing’s infamous traffic. Now, this post has absolutely NOTHING to do with Chinese Antiques & Ethinic furnishings. BUT it is is one of the funniest blog postings I have seen in ages.

“As I may have mentioned before, traffic in Beijing is its own art form. The city is adding thousands of cars per – I don’t even know, week? Which means you have a healthy mix of people who have never driven before interspersed with people who should never have been driving in the first place. To introduce you to the intricacies of Beijing driving, I will start with a relatively simple concept: the left turn.”

In China the rule it seems is that the one who gets there first has the right of way and pedestrians must beware because they will not yeild to you…also keep in mind that when a car flashes it’s lights it is not to let you go as it is here, it means, I’m comming through… get out of the way…If you catch a taxi, learn how to say I am not in a rush in Chinese…this might prevent you from having a heart attack…happy trails…
