A video visit to toxic Linfen, China: The most polluted city on earth
Posted by Roger under: China; Manufacturing & Production; Video Postings .
Initially, had no idea who these VBS guys are, but I came across their site doing a search on North Korea (I know, I know but it looks like an interesting place to visit). Along the way, I noticed their documentary series on LinFen in Shanxi province, which is supposedly one of the most polluted places on the planet, where it rains black and even tourism officials give away complimentary face masks. (Worth a read – This guy spent an entire month training English teachers for an NGO. His post on the subject is quite fascinating)
TOXIC TOXIC LINFEN Parts 1 through 6′
“In this edition of our Toxic series, VBS travels to the single most polluted place on earth, the coal-mining town of Linfen in Shanxi Province, China.”
If you are having trouble getting these videos to load here, you can go to their web site as well and watch them there.
Update: According to China’s latest pollution rankings, the country’s most polluted city is now Urumqi
